I thought I'd post
If you like learning about "new" science (such as Science in the News! ) then you might like a book called Deadly Feasts by Richard Rhodes. It's very interesting... it chronicles the progression of our understanding of degenerative brain diseases.
Anyhow, I think neurology is the most interesting field (hence why I liked that book). And in the field, the most interesting job would be a neuroscience researcher, at a university or teaching hospital.
